What we do.

A fixed cost service per machine (including monitor, modem printer/scanner), we perform a series of tests per machine in two passes. Firstly the machine is PAT tested to determine the electrical condition of the equipment. Having passed this test, the second pass will check bios, virus infection, operating system and applications.

 

Bios Check. Diagnostic to determine whether the PC bios will pass the date test and apply an appropriate fix.

Applications Check. Installed applications and operating system checked against known list.

Virus check. Checked against all known virus.

PAT Testing. Portable Appliance check. Check on electrical condition for health and safety regulations.

Full Audit Report. Detailing hardware, software, items passed, failed or unknown software.

 

Additional Services

System Analysis. Further analysis to detail the suitability of the PC hardware and software with a view to running the next generation of operating systems and applications. Detailing what items will need to be addressed and what the likely cost will be. This service is charged at our hourly rate, as the time taken to complete the study is largely dependant upon the amount of applications and the time taken into assessing likely remedial costs.

 

IT Infrastructure Analysis. High level study and analysis to assess the whole of the companies IT Infrastructure. Resulting in a detailed plan of the readiness of the whole IT system and identifying what areas are to be addressed in order to achieve a more robust corporate IT strategy. Perform a workflow study to identify operational procedures and applications software required in the process of achieving a robust IT system. Further analysis to highlight what functions the end users are trying to achieve and what additional components within the new framework will be required in achieving those goals.

 

Portable Appliance Testing

Have you ever considered whether your machine is actually fit to touch?

 

If you are one of the few organisations that think about health and safety, you may already have your computer systems PAT tested in line with the Health And Safety At Work ACT etc1974 and all associated legislation.

 

The PAT procedure is relatively quick and can be performed on site with little or no disruption. It involves connecting the equipment into a specialist peice of test equipment which will run through a set of automated diagnostic routines, logging the results. A printout will then confirm the results showing pass or fail in one or more of several categories.
